Responsibilities
Responsible for interpreting provider orders and prescriptions, and compounding and dispensing medications.
Explain use of medications and potential drug interactions, and provide drug information to patients, healthcare workers, and others as necessary.
Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff.
Interpret prescription and medication orders accurately, and clarify any uncertainties to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Monitor drug utilization to detect potential interactions, overlaps, dosing issues, and other unique situations.
Participate in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.
Qualifications
Doctorate Required
Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) Required
Preferred qualifications:
NICU experience highly preferred
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) Preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
