Job Summary: Copper Roots is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will assist in the design and analysis of overhead transmission line projects. You will work under the supervision of licensed professional engineers to develop technical solutions through the design and construction phases of a project. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and analysis of high-voltage overhead transmission lines (69kV to 345kV) using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE. Perform structure loading calculations, conductor sag analysis, and line routing studies. Support the preparation of engineering drawings, material lists, technical reports, cost estimates, technical specifications, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, RUS, IEEE, and ACI. Collaborate with team members to successfully execute projects. Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders on the status of the project. Provide technical support during bidding, procurement, and construction phases. Conduct site visits and work with field teams to ensure project success. Ensure overall quality of design tasks and project deliverables through adherence of quality procedures. Foster a positive work environment and contribute to the knowledge growth of individuals and the team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Basic knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals and principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with MS Office software.
