Positions are available in Virginia and Maryland. My client, a $3B global engineering contractor, is seeking a
Senior Procurement Engineer
to support its growing business and high-visibility programs. This role serves as a key liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders—including Executives, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing—ensuring efficient execution of major projects. This position will manage a $100M spend of electro-mechanicals such as: switch gears, cable, UPS’s, busstacks, electronics, etc. for the assigned project. Key Responsibilities: Lead procurement planning during bidding and project execution phases Source, qualify, and manage vendors; develop RFPs and analyze proposals Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements Develop and implement procurement plans post-award Monitor market conditions to optimize pricing, lead times, logistics, and compliance Interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules Collaborate with project teams to ensure complete scope coverage Travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Engineering or Supply Chain is preferred. 5+ years of experience in a strategic sourcing role for the same or similar industry. Strong background in sourcing and negotiating with OEMs, subcontractors, and fabricators Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills My client is experiencing tremendous growth and is offering a generous compensation package and growth potential in a progressive environment.
