Schedule Details : This is a 0.7 FTE 2nd shift position. Start times vary from 1400-1500 based on assignment/day of week. This position will work every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year. This is a full generalist position, rotating through all laboratory departments (Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis and Blood Bank). All training, approximately 12 weeks, will be scheduled on 1st shift and will be completed before joining the weekend/holiday rotation. Eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus!
About Us:
ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.
Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing home, and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

What You Will Do: Medical Technologists, or Medical Laboratory Scientists, perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates correlates and interprets test results.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associate's degree in MLT
Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months, or
Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months
Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
