The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours of overtime). The typical work schedule is 2-3 weeks on and 2-3 weeks off. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley (while on location). Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is also provided. The HSE Technician - Level 2 role supports a variety of clients within the operations, maintenance, and construction groups. The technician will be responsible for all facets of health, safety, and environmental protection for the work groups that it supports. The individual will ensure day to day compliance with all regulatory requirements, client, corporate, internal procedures, and applicable policies. The HSE Technician is committed to the one-way system of preventing harm to people, assets, and the environment. All other tasks that are performed by an HSE Technician will be performed in support of this work scope. Responsibilities

Foster a strong partnership between the HSE team, operational groups, and client representatives. Champion field implementation of the company’s incident prevention program. Effectively communicate between multiple work groups, organizational layers, and client representatives. Maintain a daily field presence by attending morning toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings, and general site visits. Identify areas for HSE improvement/mitigation of hazardous conditions and assist with the development of S.M.A.R.T action items. Effectively manage and prioritize responsibilities to ensure the timely completion of HSE tasks. Prepare and deliver instructor led HSE training to groups of varying sizes. Assist HSE Supervisor and Manager with written program development and review. Provide training and mentorship to junior HSE Staff and other employees. Occasionally fill the HSE Supervisor role as needed to cover gaps in coverage. Conduct regular site safety audits, and worksite inspections. Review hazard/risk assessments and correct gaps through positive coaching. Assist company industrial hygienist with exposure monitoring and inspections. Proactively develop knowledge of company operations and practices. Respond to incidents (should they occur) and facilitate the investigation process through collaboration with company operations, and client representatives. Write professional summary reports for incidents, audit findings, and recommend improvement opportunities. Occupational injury and illness case management. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Establish direct working relationships and rapport within all levels of the organization. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service, including developing and improving customer relationships internally and externally. Attention to detail and a focus on producing quality products in a timely manner. Advanced knowledge of applicable federal & state regulations, industry standards, and client HSE requirements. Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information and situations. Understand industrial hygiene practices and procedures to include use of sound level meters, noise dosimeters and air sampling equipment. Familiarity with environmental agencies and regulatory requirements (EPA, ADEC, RCRA, Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act, etc.). Ability to manage competing demands; accept, and act upon, criticism and constructive feedback; be adaptable and flexible. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks within specified time periods. Ability to work in a variety of environments, including office, repair shops, and extreme cold. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Demands / Work Environment

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. The work site is approximately 840 miles from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care. Medical evacuation may be delayed by weather conditions. The essential physical requirements include standing, walking on various surfaces, sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in harsh environments with arctic gear. Note: In-vehicle monitoring systems are used for safety and accountability in company vehicles; data may be reviewed by management to ensure compliance with policies. Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in occupational safety and health and/or 5 plus years of experience in OSH. Professional certification such as CHST/OHST. Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by Worley. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational safety & health and/or 10 plus years of experience in OSH. Professional certification such as CSP or ASP. Advanced competencies in fall protection, excavation/trenching, permit-required confined space entry, energy isolation, industrial hygiene sampling/monitoring, OSH program management, document control, process safety management, environmental program management, and ICS.
