Business Development Officer – Marin County Area
Redwood Credit Union seeks a Business Development Officer for the Marin County area. The ideal candidate lives in Marin, has pre‑established relationships, pipeline, and networks, and is eager to grow new business and nurture existing relationships. The role administers, coordinates, and executes direct and indirect sales activities and generates business and visibility for The Redwood Group. Key Responsibilities
Identify and attend sales events that drive desired business to The Redwood Group. Prospect, close new business, and execute membership drives and presentations at Select Employer Group (SEG) locations and business development events. Contribute to development of programs, promotions, and campaigns to market RCU products and services to SEGs and other audiences. Establish partnerships with employers, businesses, and organizations to promote Redwood Group products and services. Maintain SEG database, record sales activities, and prospect new SEG relationships. Initiate sales calls, visits, and mailings to existing and new SEGs, coordinate schedules, and mentor Branch Managers. Contribute to the creation and execution of the Business Development Strategic Plan and annual budget. Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and administrative tasks; maintain relationships with Centers of Influence and business partners. Business Relations
Participate in local Chambers of Commerce, business groups, and committees that drive business to The Redwood Group. Attend relevant luncheons, mixers, and networking opportunities and coordinate business expo events. Assist regional and other RCU departments with events and functions as needed. Minimum Qualification
Advanced skill in the sales cycle process and business development tactics. Knowledge of Redwood Credit Union products and financial services, and of business and economic trends in the assigned territory. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and sales management software. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; strong organizational and time‑management abilities. Ability to direct, coordinate, and prepare presentations; handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and attend weekend events. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $85,924 to $101,088 annually (eligible for 15% geographical differential). Total rewards include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, performance incentive plan, PTO, and employee discount perks.
