A&P Mechanic located in O\'Hare Airport (ORD) Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking to hire two A&P Licensed Mechanics (or soon to be licensed) Avionics/Aviation Mechanics to join our corporate team to work on, replace and maintain the continued delivery of IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) systems on aircraft for major airlines worldwide. $32.83 to $43.59
based on years of experience. These rates include geographical differential and depend on licenses and experience. Starting rates increase with additional years of experience. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering full medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance. Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to PAC In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subject to FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA regulations, including troubleshooting and testing of electronic assemblies and units, removal and replacement of assemblies, units or cabling, and modification/alteration of installed equipment. Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft. Operate airline communications equipment. Communicate and interface with customers. Document testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment. Receive and prepare parts; assist in tracking spares inventory; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
HS diploma or GED required. Airframe & Powerplant License, or related certificate of equal value, required. Must pass a background and drug screening (marijuana included). Valid driver\'s license. Open to most shifts (Night shift or Graveyard shift included). 0–1 year experience in a mechanical or electrical technician position preferred but not required. General knowledge of electrical mechanics or related experience; preferred but not required. 1+ years of IFE or avionics experience preferred but not required. Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform; endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals; and follow verbal instructions in English. Proficient in MS Office Suite; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. What We Offer
