Role Overview As our Senior Mechanical Designer & Team Lead, you’ll spend 70% of your time crafting detailed 2D AutoCAD designs for industrial heat-transfer systems and 30% mentoring a small team of designers. Though our clients work almost exclusively in 2D, you may occasionally produce 3D drawings for special requests.
Key Responsibilities
2D Design (70%) : Create precise 2D AutoCAD drawings for custom heat-transfer equipment and related components.
Team Leadership (30%) : Coach, review work, and manage project priorities for a small group of designers.
Occasional 3D Support : Generate basic 3D AutoCAD models when customer requirements dictate.
Produce and revise a variety of technical schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication prints.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
What You Bring
Experience : 8+ years of hands-on 2D AutoCAD design in a manufacturing environment; 4+ years leading engineering staff.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Expertise : Strong preference for—and commitment to—2D AutoCAD; familiarity with heat-transfer system design.
Work History : Consistent career progression without short-term roles.
Logistics : Onsite availability; residence within a 45-minute drive.
Eligibility : Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a Green Card.
