Days Responsibilities
Perform radiographic imaging procedures independently and ensure quality diagnostic images. Handle, prepare, calculate dosage and administer radionuclides and interventional medications under the direction of a radiologist or cardiologist. Maintain records in accordance with departmental and state requirements. Assist the radiation safety officer as needed. Transport patients to the imaging room and position patients appropriately to obtain quality images delivered to radiologists via PACS by the technologist. Assist radiologists with required procedures. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and department standards. Performs clerical duties and provides support in the radiology department as needed. Adhere to the Corporate Compliance plan and to local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting body standards. Monitor and follow radiation protection practices and verify prescriptions to ensure the correct test is performed. Check and manage schedules to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow. Document all technical information related to exams, enter data into the system, and monitor the online worklist during shifts and at shift changes. Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited program. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) registration. The value you’ll bring to the team
Performs quality nuclear imaging exams using proper equipment and radiation protection practices; follows appropriate protocols and verifies prescriptions to ensure the proper test is performed. Maintains documentation for QA on cameras and equipment, and assists the radiation safety officer when needed.
