Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies. Evaluates and documents patient status and responds appropriately; intervenes/refers in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge/skills and exceeds essential job responsibilities per department standards. Shows commitment to continued learning and sharing knowledge with patients and co-workers; demonstrates “team player” characteristics; is punctual, willing to assist others; participates in sub committees and initiates in-services. Qualifications
Required qualifications: Technical/Vocational School Graduate of an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology (Required) or Associate (Required) or Bachelor's (Required) RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Required) or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (Required) or Registered Technologist - Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (RTCI) (Required) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required) A minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience (Required) Preferred qualifications: Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Cert Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Benefits
