The role of the Clinical Data Manager is to oversee research operations within a community-based research study aimed at reducing heart disease risk. The Clinical Data Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of data collection, including coordinating schedules of study visits, blood collection and processing, and ensuring adherence to protocols and quality control standards. This role includes training research coordinators, managing supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and ethical guidelines, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills, a commitment to community engagement, and the ability to work collaboratively with study teams and participants to foster trust and promote study goals. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Report writing skills. Excellent oral, written, and communication skills. Phlebotomist training and certification. Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of various software applications; particularly Microsoft Office, REDCap, and Ripple. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong abilities to work effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to coordinate program activities and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed. Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed. Background Check, Physical, and Drug Screening

Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation, required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended. Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in health or biological sciences or related field. Two years of clinical research work-related experience. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in public health, clinical research, or related field. Data management experience. Experience interacting with diverse populations and communities. Experience in public health or community-based research. Compensation Information
