This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.

Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.

Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.

Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.

Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.

Performs studies and makes recommendations for disposition of assets.

Primary Responsibilities

Designs, analyzes and modifies aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling that meet stakeholder requirements.

Researches, develops, evaluates and integrates robotics, automation, and new technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products.

Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications.

Estimates, plans, manages and executes the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling.

Develops and implements testing and acceptance to validate performance.

Creates and maintains related documentation for equipment and tooling, develops preventative maintenance plans and trains personnel as needed.

Develops and implements interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment and tooling.

Investigates engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with company procedures.

Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

3 or more years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.

3 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.

Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate Range:

Min $55, Max $60 per hour (USD)
