Overview
The Medical Staff Service Credentials Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all providers at South Shore Health. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Medical Staff Services/Affairs, Medical Staff Leadership, and Hospital Leadership to maintain efficient and compliant systems that coordinate the credentialing lifecycle. The Manager oversees the timely credentialing, re-credentialing, and clinical privileges of all SSH providers, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of provider records and database entries. This role may involve developing and revising privilege forms with physician leadership, guiding and directing the Medical Staff coordinators, training and mentoring the credentialing team, and assessing departmental productivity to develop effective business operations. The Manager ensures compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), NCQA, and the organization\'s Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, coordinates the Credentials Committee and other medical staff committees, and manages agendas, minutes, and follow-up. A strong understanding of FPPE and OPPE processes is required, and the Manager serves as a positive representative of South Shore Health both internally and externally."
