Warehouse Coordinator Job at Federal Signal Corporation in Park Forest

Overview

FS Depot has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Coordinator based at our University Park, Illinois facility. This role will assist, assign, schedule, and train FS Depot warehouse staff in daily order assignments specifically related to emergency, daily, and stock orders in a proficient and safe manner. The Coordinator supports warehouse supervisors to ensure products are received, put away, inventoried, and shipped in a timely manner to meet customer delivery dates.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Support warehouse supervisors with daily scheduling of orders to fulfill shipping commitments.
• Organize and prioritize printed pick lists and labels by appropriate dates and color codes.
• Utilize Smartsheet to monitor and update expedited requests from the FS Depot Customer Service group to ensure emergency orders are shipped on time.
• Act as a liaison between the warehouse and customer service groups to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain an awareness of safety by walking the warehouse and identifying safety concerns.
• Provide necessary prints and pictures to assist staff in identifying parts.
• Monitor aging open orders (Cetova Report).
• Maintain processing of export orders; hold meetings with customer support teams to ship international orders.
• Maintain small parcel damage claims process through carrier websites (UPS, FedEx).
• Order packaging supplies to avoid outages.
• Monitor and investigate customer issues; implement a tracking system and report monthly on customer issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of five years of working knowledge in a computerized MRP, bills of material structure, and their impact on inventory.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of JDE (“ERP”) software to pull information needed for day-to-day functions.
• Self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Anticipated Annual Salary

$44,311 - $63,302 + annual bonus.
