About the Opportunity

Trak Group is hiring an Accounting Associate for a respected, mission-driven organization in Erlanger, KY. Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and year-end 1099 preparation.
• Administer corporate credit card and expense reporting programs while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Maintain accounting for organizational assets, including inventory, pledges, and fixed assets.
• Support sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
• Perform month-end and year-end close tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor requests.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in general accounting or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and pivot tables.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
• Alignment with the mission and values of a Catholic organization.

Preferred Skills

• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification.
• Experience with nonprofit, fund, or project-based accounting.
• Familiarity with audit preparation or external reporting.
• Knowledge of sales tax, fixed assets, or pledge receivables accounting.
• Experience with process improvement or internal control documentation.
