The Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel, LLP is seeking an experienced legal secretary who is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, reliable and able to efficiently multi-task. EAMS experience is preferred.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing clerical support to attorneys.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepares and files legal documents and correspondence.
  • Electronically files legal documents in EAMS Workers' Compensation program.
  • File and serves legal documents.
  • Schedules medical appointments, depositions, interpreters, court reporters and witnesses.
  • Maintains diary system.
  • Takes incoming calls for attorney and assists client were needed.
  • Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents.
  • Works closely with attorneys and legal staff to complete clerical assignments.

Qualification Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.

Salary: $28 - $35.00 per hour
