LYRICA CLASSIC ENTERTAINMENT INC is hiring: Production Manager Assistant in Rose

Muffled Voices Festival is an international opera festival produced by Lyrica Classic, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The festival celebrates and stages chamber operas by women composers—works that have been historically silenced or overlooked—and brings their stories to audiences worldwide.

Our U.S. debut will take place on November 22, 2025, at the Maryland Theatre, featuring several chamber opera productions. We are seeking a proactive and organized Production Manager Assistant to support our technical and artistic teams in preparing the event.

📆 Commitment: start now through the end of production (~Nov. 23)

💼 Type: Volunteer position (with a Certificate of Completion and potential for future paid work)

🌍 Location: Hybrid — remote preparation with some in-person coordination in Maryland/DC/Virginia

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager and Stage Director in coordinating all production logistics.
• Research and contact set and prop rental companies, suppliers, and workshops.
• Visit local venues, workshops, or storage spaces to assess materials, props, or scenic elements.
• Help organize prop acquisition, fabrication, and transportation according to the designer’s set concept.
• Track production needs, delivery schedules, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with the technical crew, designers, and theatre staff to ensure efficient communication and execution.
• Assist during load-in, setup, and rehearsals as needed.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in theatre or opera production, stage design, or event management.
• Comfortable managing spreadsheets, timelines, and logistics.
• Creative problem solver with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and on-site when necessary.
• A driver’s license and access to transportation are a plus.
