Manager, Accounting Statutory Reporting

Location: Miami, Florida (Hybrid- in office three days a week)
Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Statutory Reporting to join our global accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and filing of statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact role that requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-entity environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and filing of annual statutory financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify and reconcile differences between US GAAP and local GAAP, ensuring accurate financial reporting across jurisdictions.
Review supporting documentation for key account balances, including debt, intercompany transactions, investments, and intangibles.
Coordinate audit requests and act as the primary liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Determine required disclosures based on a deep understanding of business operations and local statutory requirements.
Manage the external audit process, ensuring timely progress and resolution of audit queries.
Collaborate with internal audit, tax, and treasury teams to ensure alignment with local compliance obligations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the statutory reporting process and internal controls.
Assess current processes against local accounting requirements to identify gaps and implement improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
5 years of accounting or audit experience
in a global organization.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g.,
CPA, ACA, ACCA or local equivalent ) is
required .
Fluent in
English
(written and verbal) is
required .
Solid technical knowledge of
US GAAP ; familiarity with
IFRS
and
UK GAAP
is
preferred .
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
