This role is hands‑on, strategic, and oriented to building a vibrant staff community. Responsibilities Lead recruitment effort for part‑time hosts & refs Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, train and evaluate excellent part‑time talent to run our leagues and events Manage the development and presentation of staff and volunteer training Lead initiatives for engagement and support—pre‑season training, mid‑season check‑ins, and end‑of‑season celebrations Oversee staff & volunteer feedback review & analysis Grow the staff & volunteer community and culture through special perks and events Create recruitment pipeline for part‑time staff Schedule league & event staff—including hosts and refs for adult and kids programs Update scheduling software to reflect completion of shifts & support payroll as needed Support the local payroll process as neededTrack & evaluate performance of part‑time staff Qualifications Minimum of 3‑5 years of professional experience in recruiting or event management Ability to work nights and weekends Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably Experience in sport or event management and/or business development capacity Can navigate a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment Equal Employment Opportunity Volo is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that proudly pursues and hires a diverse workforce.
