This role can be based in Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or any other U.S. based office. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert on LCA strategies, approaches, models, and methodologies for regulatory applications, voluntary frameworks, and EPDs.
Apply the Argonne National Laboratory GREET model and other commercial LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi).
Understand technical client needs and provide sustainable solutions that balance costs and benefits of carbon management.
Lead life cycle assessment and carbon quantification projects relating to incentive and regulatory programs.
Maintain high visibility through client contact, professional organizations, and industry events.
Act as a senior technical consultant or strategist providing project management, technical consulting, regulatory subject matter expertise, or QA/QC review.
Develop ISO 14040/44‑compliant LCA models and study reports.
Guide LCAs through external third‑party critical review.
Perform techno‑economic assessments, climate and carbon project assessments, sustainability program support, data management, and QA/QC.
Communicate actionable information to clients via reports, presentations, and workshops.
Manage projects and staff, including technical leadership, risk management, and mentoring.
Work closely with staff in other offices; assist in recruiting and training additional staff.
Serve in a leadership role for company culture and values across the organization.
Provide professional development through conferences, seminars, webinars, and mentoring.
Fieldwork (approximately 5 % of the role).
Overnight travel (approximately 10 % of the role).
Drive personal, company, or rental vehicles to client or project sites as needed.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, mechanical, or chemical engineering or a related discipline. (required)
Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)
Professional registration (P.E.). (preferred)
CARB‑accredited LCFS lead verifier or similar. (preferred)
Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional (LCACP). (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 10 years of professional and project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Experience performing LCA assessments and reporting; knowledge of current tools and trends.
Experience working with LCA verification agencies.
Strong data management and computational skills.
Prior experience in LCA and carbon footprinting.
Proven client relationship management, sales, and business development experience.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and high‑level modeling tools.
Ability to apply LCA results to relevant climate regulations to identify value‑creation opportunities.
Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, including GHG Protocol, ISO 14067, SBTi, TCFD, and CDP.
Excellent communication skills.
Regional visibility through professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. (required)
Currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H‑1B lottery or green‑card sponsorship are not available.
