Senior Consultant – Electronics Life Cycle Assessment WSP is looking for talented individuals to join our team as a Senior Consultant to support the company’s growing Sustainability, Energy, and Climate Change division.

Positions available in Portland, OR; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; New York, NY; Greensboro, NC; Bethlehem, PA; San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Arlington, VA; Boulder, CO.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of electronics LCA projects from start to finish:

Research and collect life cycle inventory data, perform quality assurance, and develop new datasets to fill data gaps.

Model in LCA software (LCA For Experts, SimaPro, GREET, openLCA).

Develop product LCA to calculate impacts such as GHG emissions, energy use, water use, consumption, scarcity, waste, etc.

Produce screening‑level and ISO‑conformant reports and presentations.

Produce Environmental Product Declarations, eco passports/profiles, and LCA background reports per relevant PCRs and EU PEF methodology.

Research opportunities to reduce environmental impacts in the product life cycle.

Produce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications.

Develop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence tools.

Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.

Minimum 6 years of professional experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in electronics and technology business sectors.

Experience developing ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 conformant LCA reports.

Familiarity with product design, manufacturing, supply chain management, circular economy principles, and waste reduction methods.

Well‑developed interpersonal skills, credibility, confidence, and integrity.

Strong oral and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Ability to develop and present analyses using Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI.

Ability to work independently, iterate priorities, and manage time efficiently.

Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies.

Proven record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.

Occasional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.

Experience with LCA software such as LCA For Experts, SimaPro, openLCA, GREET.

Experience with ISO standards relevant to LCA (14040, 14044, 14025, 14046, 14064, 14067).

Experience in other sectors (food & beverage, agriculture, apparel/textiles, construction products).

Experience with EPDs and PEF methodology.

Familiarity with emerging circularity standards and their application to LCA.

Familiarity with water footprinting, water stress, and scarcity methodologies such as AWARE.

Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $74,200 – $150,590 (Colorado: $74,200 – $141,350).
