Director of Business Development and Marketing
Devereux Texas in League City seeks a dynamic and driven Director of Business Development & Marketing to join our team. This person will lead marketing initiatives and oversee the admissions and utilization management team for our residential treatment program for individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD). Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to enhance program awareness and enrollment. Nurture current business relationships, and proactively establish new relationships with referral sources, including school districts, state agencies, Medicaid programs and MCOs, healthcare professionals, and advocacy organizations. Collaborate with national marketing office on digital marketing, social media, and content creation to promote the program’s services. Represent Devereux Texas League City at conferences, community events, and networking engagements. Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation. Adapt strategies in response to industry trends and program needs to ensure consistent referral volume in alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with finance, admissions, and contracting to develop new funding partnerships. Admissions and Utilization Management
Lead the admissions and utilization management team in managing inquiries, referrals, and payer processes. Ensure a smooth and client‑centered admissions experience for individuals, families, and referral sources. Develop and refine admission procedures to enhance efficiency and accessibility. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to assess referral fit, program capacity, and placement options within the program. Ensure that utilization management processes are timely, thorough, and in alignment with payer requirements for consistent payment for services. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in marketing, admissions, or business development, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or IDD services. Extensive experience in other customer‑facing roles will also be considered. Proven ability to independently develop and implement marketing strategies that drive growth and engagement. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams and fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills. Knowledge of funding sources and regulatory requirements related to IDD services is highly desirable. Experience managing an admissions process in a residential or healthcare setting is a plus. Available to travel up to 25%. We maintain a zero‑tolerance policy for abuse and have procedures to reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
