Summary The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate the end-to-end understanding and monitoring of FX risk exposures across the firm including balance sheet and trading related exposures generated from physical and financial operational activities. The incumbent is charged with identifying and articulating where risk is being generated and proposing appropriate hedges to be executed by the Treasury team (for balance sheet exposures) or Commercial teams (as related to forward transactions). This position will be responsible for generating FX exposure reports, understanding Oracle configurations related to FX and the P&L associated with balance sheet revaluations and associated hedges.
Key Responsibilities
Daily FX Exposure and P&L reporting
P&L Attribution (Spot/Carry analysis)
FX Exposure Forecasting
Daily monitoring of FX exposure
Understanding regional/segment sales trends to forecast sales/purchases by currency
FX P&L Attribution Reporting
Assisting accounting teams with financial results/disclosures reporting
Explaining variances to forecast analyzing GL results from Oracle
Improvement in communication/education of FX impact with commercial and finance teams
Work with CDP team to Implement supplemental reports to facilitate exposure forecasting
Interpreting general ledger (Oracle) activity to derive exposure and interpret FX P&L results
Requires understanding Oracle and subledger functions
Periodic review of FX Exposure Forecasting and Hedging Policy
Deep understanding of Derivative FX instruments and relevant markets
Education and Experience Requirements A background in Forensic Accounting or Auditing within a multinational corporation.
Experience in a Treasury functional is preferred but not essential
Bachelor's degree in Business related discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Management and or Economics Specialized knowledge in FX exposures, balance sheet reporting, and the uses of FX derivatives as a hedging instrument
Knowledge of Oracle and related programs is essential.
Strong communication skills (oral and written)Must be able to partner and show effective project management skills
