Lead Project Engineer (Finance)
The Systems Engineering team within the Engines and Power Systems organization has an immediate opening for a Lead Project Engineer. In this role, the Lead will oversee the execution of the System Structures, Loads and Dynamics (SSLD), Full Engine Thermal Deflection Model (FETDM), and Rotor Dynamics work package on the HTF NG turbofan engine development program and ensure execution. The Lead will have Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities and own all costs, budget, schedule, and risks for that work package. The Lead will ensure the HTF NG is compliant with the requirements for SSLD, FETDM, and System Rotor Dynamics. In this role, you will mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities: Oversee SSLD, Rotor Dynamics, and FETDM work packages, including design, development, and testing activities. Develop project plans covering scope, goals, deliverables, resources, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and success. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality guidelines. Lead technical decision-making and contribute to design analysis and testing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace project engineering, preferably with gas turbines. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be a US Citizen due to export control laws. Preferred: Advanced degree (Master's or PhD). Experience with gas turbine principles and components. Familiarity with industry software like SAP, Jira, DOORS NG, etc. Experience leading multi-functional teams.
