The Military Fixed Wing Team (MFW) Project Engineering team has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer supporting new product development of gas turbine engines. We are building a Systems Engineering organization to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving Aerospace environment. Join our team and help us build the future! In this role, you will be the Systems Project Engineer, Cost Account Manager (CAM), and lead for the Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety (RMSS) workstream on a new centerline military turbofan engine program. You will own budget, risk, cost, schedule, and execution of the RMSS Agile workstream. You will ensure the work performed by the subject matter experts within RMSS is in accordance with the program plans and to an extremely fast paced program schedule. Key Responsibilities
Lead the RMSS work packages as CAM in charge of cost, budget, schedule, and risk management Ensure all RMSS work is aligned to the program planning documents (e.g., System Development Plan, Requirements Management Validation and Verification Plan, ARP4754, ARP4761) Organizing work within the RMSS team and in accordance with Agile planning principles Escalating properly when necessary Communicating status and risks clearly and appropriately Basic Qualifications
Due to US export control laws, must be a US Person Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, or Mechanical preferred) Minimum 5 years related engineering experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines We Value
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage customers both internal and external Direct experience in the field of gas turbine engine module or system development and project management Ability to investigate broad, complex, and ambiguously defined challenges, rally team consensus around the scope and approach to resolution and lead the team to resolution Capability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and resolve conflicts tactfully and effectively within *** and externally with suppliers and customers Ability to escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization Must be results oriented Experience with budget and schedule management skills in today\'s EVMS environment. Direct project management training, such as PE academy, PMP certification, or other project management courses a plus Prior experience with Requirements Based Engineering Prior ARP4754 working level experience Prior ARP4761 working level experience Excellent oral and written communications Escalate effectively with leadership Strong commitment to customer satisfaction Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work Promote strong team working relationships Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team Support schedules and budgeted time for the assigned workscope Work Arrangement
Full-time, on-site attendance required for the first 6 months. Post 6 months, up to 2 days remote and 3 days on-site.
