The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care to patients within a patient care unit. This position collaborates with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, patients, and families to provide comprehensive physical and psychological support. Additionally, this role supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring compliance with state, facility, and regulatory guidelines. This position utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to maintain and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities for this role include ensuring the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost-effective nursing care while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather patient history and vital signs, identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment data, setting SMART goals in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Administer medications and treatments safely, including oral, intravenous, and intramuscular forms, and perform necessary medical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy, ensuring accurate and safe execution.

Provide patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self-care practices, developing and delivering tailored educational materials and programs, and offering discharge instructions and follow-up care plans.

Advocate for patient health and safety by acting as a liaison between patients and the healthcare system, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and securing necessary resources to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Associates of Nursing Required

RN experience Required

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
