Collaborating with Infectious Disease physicians and department managers, this IP Specialist will drive initiatives across inpatient infection control. Staff and newly hired infection prevention professionals rely on this position for mentorship and as a subject matter expert. This infection prevention department fosters a proactive atmosphere dedicated to reducing healthcare-associated infections. The CIC Infection Control Practitioner will join nurses, epidemiology specialists, and administrative staff committed to patient outcomes. Training, surveillance, and teamwork drive the department’s success. The CIC Infection Control Practitioner creates and updates policies that target infection risks and ensures evidence-based guidelines are followed. Outbreak management, antibiotic stewardship, and staff education are pivotal duties.
