Lead Manufacturing Specialist 2 - Prod Process and Equip_AVI
Job Description Summary Development and Production Engine Manufacturing Planning ownership within the Evendale Development Assembly shop. Responsibilities include creating and modifying assembly and disassembly work instructions for various work scopes to ensure timely delivery of engines to Engine Test Operations and external customers such as Boeing, Airbus, Baker Hughes, and engineering tests. The role involves troubleshooting engine assembly process issues, gaining familiarity with LEAP/GE9X/P20/M&I engine assembly, and assessing operational and technical processes to implement process improvements supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities The successful candidate will be part of the "Planning Team" within the Development Assembly Shop, responsible for creating and modifying work instructions for LEAP/GE9X/P20/M&I/NPI engine programs. They will coordinate with the assembly engineering team, manufacturing programs, instrumentation engineering, and systems engineering to ensure accurate translation of engineering work scopes into technical instructions for shop floor mechanics, maintaining compliance with configuration control and drawing requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing engineering
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position
Desired Qualifications
Experience in technical writing within an engineering environment
Experience with engineering drawings
Ability to use technical drawing/writing to develop work instructions
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Applicants who are not U.S. persons must obtain authorization from the U.S. Government for access.
