Position Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Strategy
Direct the company’s financial and accounting operations, including policy development, systems management, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and strategic planning.
Ensure compliance with covenants, financial regulations, and private equity reporting requirements.
Provide strategic guidance on cash flow management, treasury functions, and capital allocation.
Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and increased profitability through VBC optimization and operational improvements.
Value-Based Care & Risk Management
Understand, monitor, and forecast VBC dollars, gain share, and payer quality metrics.
Oversee risk contracts, including renegotiation, cost management, and compliance.
Address coding changes (V24 to V28) and manage potential fraud/abuse exposure.
Team Leadership & Oversight
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, including VP of FP&A, Controller, Senior Accounting Manager, AP team, and part-time Treasury support.
Provide mentorship, set objectives, and ensure accountability for financial performance and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including physicians, clinical leaders, and private equity partners, to align financial strategy with operational goals.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Oversee preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, capital budgets, and financial reports.
Ensure accurate forecasting, financial analysis, and actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
Monitor performance against EBITDA goals and provide recommendations for improvement.
Experience & Skills: Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CPA, or advanced financial certification preferred.
Previous CFO experience preferred, ideally in a provider-side VBC or ACO environment.
Demonstrated experience with private equity-backed organizations.
Strong background in treasury, cash flow management, and financial planning.
Proven track record of optimizing business operations and improving EBITDA.
Strategic thinker with foresight in financial management and operational execution.
Ability to navigate complex physician dynamics and adapt approach as needed.
Strong business acumen with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Leadership and team management skills with a focus on mentorship and accountability.
Effective communication skills for interacting with executive leadership, private equity partners, and providers.
