Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with seventeen locations across seven states. Offering the very highest standard of medical and clinical treatment, our services span every level of care - including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. This is a
part-time position , requiring 1-2 hours on-site per week, with additional remote on-call hours as needed.
What You'll Do
Provide medical oversight and leadership for all patient care within the facility, ensuring adherence to Avenues' clinical and regulatory standards.
Supervise medical staff in the assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of clients in treatment.
Conduct patient evaluations to address medical needs and monitor progress throughout the continuum of care.
Oversee detox and medication management protocols to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and psychiatric teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality treatment.
Serve as the lead medical consultant for complex cases and urgent interventions.
Ensure thorough and compliant documentation within KIPU EMR.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with JCAHO, CARF, and state regulations.
What We're Looking For
Licensed physician in good standing with the Colorado State Board of Medicine
Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
Board certification or specialization in Addiction Medicine preferred
Proven knowledge of and compliance with state and federal regulations governing substance use treatment
Strong collaboration skills and experience working within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality
Ongoing engagement in professional development and continuing medical education (CME)
Prior experience in substance use disorder (SUD) or behavioral health treatment settings strongly preferred
