Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Production Superintendent
to lead our 2nd shift operations at our Greenville, SC automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for directing all production activities, ensuring high-quality output, maintaining safety and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the plant. You’ll oversee production supervisors, team leaders, and technicians to ensure on-time, efficient, and cost-effective operations—all while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all production activities for the 2nd shift, ensuring schedules and quality standards are met.
Supervise and develop Team Leaders, Supervisors, and production staff to achieve operational goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Report labor efficiency, machine utilization, and production performance to management.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and 5S standards.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager on staffing, scheduling, and personnel decisions.
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Oversee performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to direct reports.
Support and implement corrective actions (8D) to address downtime or quality issues.
Promote a positive and professional workplace culture built on trust, accountability, and teamwork.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Several years of manufacturing and supervisory experience (automotive industry experience required).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to create visual tools and reports for effective communication and process tracking.
Proven record of improving plant performance through effective leadership and collaboration.
