An award-winning not-for-profit independent healthcare system, nationally recognized for bariatric & metabolic weight loss, is seeking an experienced Obesity Medicine Director (OMD)/Weight Management Department Lead physician to lead their growing two-provider team in the Minneapolis Metro. Newly developed program with volumes quickly growing due to community need Around 10% leadership time with potential to grow leadership responsibilities over time, with remaining time dedicated to the clinic 100% outpatient weight management: no weekends, no nights, no call, no holidays Accredited Comprehensive Center under the MBSAQIP (Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program) Leadership responsibilities include collaborating with the group to obtain MBSAQIP certification within Obesity Medicine/Weight Loss, identifying growth opportunities, developing a comprehensive care model, and coordinating with IT structures Base compensation of $300,000+ with no RVU pressure Responsibilities
Lead and manage a two-provider Obesity Medicine/Weight Management team Develop and expand the comprehensive weight management program to meet community needs Collaborate with IT and operational teams to optimize care delivery and MBSAQIP readiness Drive program growth, quality improvement, and patient outcomes within an outpatient setting Maintain accreditation standards and coordinate with MBSAQIP processes Qualifications
Board-certified/board-eligible in Obesity Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Endocrinology (as applicable) Leadership experience in a weight management or metabolic program preferred Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and implement accredited programs Benefits/Compensation
Base guarantee $300,000+ with no RVU pressure Fully outpatient schedule: no weekends, no nights, no call, no holidays Community Details
