We are looking for a
Senior Cost Accountant
to work for our client located in Akron. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities
Supports annual standard cost process as well as quarterly cost movement reviews.
Leads annual physical inventory processes and related reconciliations.
Proactively seeks out ways to improve processes and accuracy and drive efficiency.
Monitors processes and controls relating to inventory transactions and reporting failures and areas for improvement.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and reports on variances from standard costs, understanding root cause, and corrective actions.
Performs the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entry postings.
Supports compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits.
Leads and manages quarterly excess and obsolete inventory review.
Other ad-hoc requests/analysis/projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience.
Demonstrated understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes.
Analytical mindset and self-starter, able to see opportunities and solve problems independently.
Good communication and time management skills.
Compensation Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr.
Additional compensation: Annual bonus.
