Nurse Practitioner – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

(East Sacramento).
The EP NP provides direct health‑care services for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate evaluation, treatment, and coordination of admissions and discharges.
Responsibilities
Enter pre‑ and post‑procedure orders.
Facilitate, triage, and consult transfer patients being evaluated for EP procedures.
Collaborate with cardiac electrophysiologists on new consults and existing patient treatment plans.
Receive and document electrophysiologist reports for cases being followed to discharge.
Manage patients with unexpected post‑procedure complications (e.g., hematomas, pressure points).
Meet with patients after procedures to provide education and counseling.
Complete incision/dressing management and perform device interrogations.
Discharge patients from Cardiac Interventional Unit and Cardiac Support Unit, perform medication reconciliation, and document progress notes.
Provide program coverage six days a week (Monday through Saturday).
Requirements
Current California RN license.
Current California Nurse Practitioner license.
Current BLS & ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
Master’s degree in nursing with nurse practitioner certification.
Current DEA number or pending DEA application (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
Preferred Experience
Acute‑care cardiovascular nursing‑practitioner experience.

Pay Range $64.51 – $90.38 per hour
