We are looking for an experienced
Senior Tax Accountant
to join our team and support complex tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review fiduciary (Form 1041), individual (Form 1040), gift, foundation, partnership, and other complex tax returns.
Resolve technical tax issues and provide guidance on complicated filings.
Mentor and serve as a resource for junior accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy.
Provide backup support to the Director and step in when needed.
Communicate directly with clients on authorized matters to ensure timely and precise filings.
Participate in hiring interviews and provide input on performance evaluations for junior staff.
Take on additional tax-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
7+ years of experience preparing fiduciary, partnership, charitable, and individual returns, including Forms 1040 and 1041.
Comfortable managing complex tax filings independently.
Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx and Onesource Trust.
Strong knowledge of current tax codes and ability to resolve tax issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
Skills & Attributes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Tactful and professional in client and team interactions.
