About the Role

Boston, MA . In this
on‑site role , you’ll play a key part in preparing and filing complex fiduciary, charitable, partnership, and personal tax returns, with a particular focus on 1040/1041 returns. You will work closely with the Director of Tax Services, providing both strategic and hands‑on support, mentoring junior accountants, and offering expert tax guidance to clients and partners.

Base Pay Range $100,000.00/yr – $140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Prepare timely and accurate fiduciary, charitable, partnership, and personal tax returns, focusing on more complex returns and problem resolution.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Tax Services in both a supportive and strategic capacity.
Serve as a resource and mentor to more junior Tax Accountants.
Provide backup coverage for the Director during absences.
Communicate directly with clients as authorized, and review the work of other Tax Accountants when assigned.
Provide expert tax advice to the Director, other Tax Accountants, clients, and partners of the Private Client Department.
Participate in the new hire interview process and contribute to performance reviews for junior Tax Accountants and support staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in fiduciary, charitable, partnership, and personal tax preparation, including all phases of tax preparation and problem resolution.
Prior experience in a mid‑size or larger professional work environment preferred.
Ability to independently manage complex tax preparations with minimal supervision.
Experience with ProSystem fx and Onesource Trust Tax software.
