About the Team Capital One's AIML organization builds the platforms, tools and infrastructure that empower our data scientists and machine learning practitioners to rapidly bring ML models and Gen AI applications to market. Our Gen AI teams are building the architecture that combines open-weight foundation models (LLMs such as Llama, Mixtral, etc.) with deep customizations using proprietary data to deliver agentic solutions that deliver next‑generation customer experiences. The Platform Foundations team under AIML owns the backbone of Capital One's AI and ML infrastructure Control Plane, delivering capabilities to run training and inference workloads that drive immense business value for the company.
As a product manager on the Platform Foundations Control Plane team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of core capabilities of the control plane that centrally manage compute resources in a multi‑tenant environment using Kubernetes and related technologies on Amazon EC2. The PM is responsible for implementing strategies to scale adoption via self‑service onboarding and superior developer experience, while optimizing resource usage, maximizing utilization and reducing costs associated with compute resources.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about technology and deeply empathizes with developers. Bonus points if you have been a software engineer in your past life or have successfully launched developer‑facing platform capabilities.

Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products
Knowledge of Amazon EC2, Kubernetes, Spark, Ray, or CPU/GPU utilization optimization

This role is eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
