Job Summary This position is embedded within msCFO, a respected CPA & Accounting Services firm under the Numera umbrella.
We are seeking an Accountant to join our dynamic team.
The accountant will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.
Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month‑end close procedures.
The ideal candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts, collaborates with or manages a team of bookkeepers, and ensures accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
Produce error‑free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
Prepare financial statements
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Plan, assign, and review staff’s work
Support month‑end and year‑end close process
Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles
Liaise with our Financial Controllers to improve financial procedures
Delivery Management
Proven experience working as an Accountant
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles
Hands‑on experience with general ledger, month‑end, and year‑end close processes
Proficient in accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical aptitude
Skills and Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) preferred
Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Xero and QuickBooks
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Highly organized in document management with strong attention to detail, able to work independently
Responsible, reliable, a great team player, and positive under any circumstances
