Responsibilities

Provides corporate IT related acquisition program and investment management, enterprise architecture and logistics data services. Ensures that the Agency is responsible, accountable, and in compliance with directives and guidance from DLA Leadership.

Oversight for enterprise architecture, emerging systems, and contemporary systems development and enhancements for either UIPath or ServiceNow, to include program management control and evaluation activities to meet desired mission outcomes.

Qualifications To qualify for an IT Specialist (OS), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS‑15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time‑in‑grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time‑after‑competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut‑off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

Provides overall direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, systems integrations, product improvement and fielding of UIPath or ServiceNow programs.

Provides expert guidance, based on knowledge of the automation platform industry, on the employment of automation platforms in DLA (UiPath and ServiceNow) in the context of the agency business processes and has an expert knowledge/experience of integrating these platforms with all "flavors" of AI assets.

Develops IT program policies, procedures, and practices for systems ensuring DLA is responsible, accountable, and in compliance with overarching directives and guidance on UIPath or ServiceNow platforms.

Plans, directs, controls, and ensures the integration of enterprise activities for major functional and complex programs, including programs and applications for the UIPath or ServiceNow Programs.

Assures industry standards for UIPath or ServiceNow are implemented for maximum effectiveness, efficiency, and success of assigned IT programs and IT sustainment. Experience leading and mentoring technical and non technical program staff in support of the UIPath or ServiceNow Programs. Understanding of how resources can be maximized to get the most return on investment for UIPath or ServiceNow and all of the products and applications that operate within those platforms.

Experience working with UIPath or ServiceNow platforms and more than two applications and products residing on the platform, understanding how applications on the platform interconnect to support a connected enterprise. Ability to conceptualize future interactions of all use cases on UIPath or ServiceNow and be able to communicate how to maximize the investment of resources on the UIPath or ServiceNow platform.

Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Drug‑Free Workplace Policy The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug‑free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre‑employment, reasonable suspicion, post‑accident, and random drug testing. Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six‑month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test. Employees in drug testing designated positions are subject to random drug testing. The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.

ADVISORY: Use of cannabidiol (CBD) products may result in a positive drug test for marijuana. DLA employees are subject to Federal law and under Federal law, Marijuana is a Schedule I drug and is illegal.
