The
Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations, including daily huddles, pick-list management, safety enforcement, inventory verification, and replenishment planning. This role manages live inventory, backorders, and re-orders—including replacements for damaged, short, or partial shipments—while owning the schedule, risk management, and reporting functions. The manager coordinates closely with facility and corporate leadership to set priorities and obtain necessary approvals, ensuring efficient and compliant supply chain operations. The manager will also provide oversight to the Inventory Warehouse Specialists and the Biomedical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Operations & Safety
Run daily huddles to communicate priorities, review schedules, and assign tasks.
Prepare and manage pick-lists for inventory movement and replenishment.
Enforce two-person-lift safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries.
Verify receipts and staging of all incoming inventory to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure bin locations and labels are maintained and replenishment plans are executed as scheduled.
Inventory Management
Manage all live inventory, including tracking, reconciliation, and adjustments.
Oversee backorders and re-orders, including replacements for damaged, short, or partial shipments.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to resolve discrepancies and maintain optimal stock.
Scheduling, Risk, & Reporting
Own the supply chain schedule, ensuring timely execution of all inventory-related activities.
Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory, delivery, and supply chain operations.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on inventory status, shortages, damages, and operational performance.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with facility medical and corporate leadership for setting operational priorities and obtaining necessary approvals.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, facility personnel, and management to resolve supply chain issues.
Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits or inspections as needed.
Staff Management
Provide oversight to Inventory Management Specialists and Biomedical Engineer.
Complete performance reviews and deliver feedback in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with supply chain management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards for inventory handling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, correctional, or government facility supply chain management.
Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
Bilingual or multilingual skills.
Experience with Workday Inventory Management.
Reporting & Supervision
Reports to: Assistant Health Services Administrator
Collaborates with: Warehouse staff, procurement teams, and Loyal Source management.
Additional Requirements
Must pass background check and security clearance.
Participate in initial and annual training on supply chain procedures, safety, and emergency response.
Physical Demands
All candidates must be physically able to perform all strenuous duties entailed in this position.
Candidates will be able to exert themselves under rigorous environmental conditions.
Must lift supplies, bend over, perform tasks such as pulling, raising patients, and moving heavy objects.
Must be able to maneuver through small hallways and many stairways in emergencies and daily responsibilities.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, walk long distances up to 200 ft over uneven dirt grounds.
Must be flexible to work irregular hours and change location within a sector when asked.
