This position is full‑time based on 40‑hours per week, on‑site work with travel throughout the BILH hospitals and office locations for Device Integration. Under minimal supervision from the Device Integration Manager, the Senior Device Integration Engineer will focus on integrating clinical devices with EHR systems and is responsible for the ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated clinical devices being supported by the Masimo interface. He/she leads collaboration between internal teams—including interfaces, EHR application teams, Clinical Engineering, and Infrastructure— and external vendors and partners. The lead on integration projects adheres to the IT System Lifecycle methodology, produces functional and/or technical specifications, conducts meetings, completes system upgrades, and coordinates volume testing, all while following the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) IT system change management processes. The engineer takes initiative to handle tasks independently and provides oversight to other team members. This position may be assigned to work on special projects and other duties as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Delivers high‑quality work and meets responsibilities in a timely manner.

Works with the user community to develop functional business requirements that adhere to the standard IT project methodology.

Leads the resolution of cross‑functional issues escalated throughout the development, testing, implementation, and support of the lifecycle.

Supports assigned production environments, troubleshoots technical application issues, and documents incoming requests, whether handled internally in IS or with a vendor.

Delivers high‑quality support during the implementation of new devices.

Provides clinical device‑related guidance to other team members.

Participates in on‑call (rotating) coverage.

Maintains and writes documentation and procedures for managing integrated clinical devices with the EHR.

Provides updates on the status and progress of support tasks and projects.

Participates in and successfully completes BILH Mandatory Education.

Achieves and maintains certifications.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

5‑8 years of related work experience in an Information Services department or software vendor organization within the healthcare industry.

Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to the functional area and related systems.
