Overview
OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties OCT currently has an opening for an Information Assurance/Security Controls Assessor to work with one of our federal clients. This individual evaluates the security controls within network systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommends actions to correct problems, working alone and as part of the broader team. They will also focus on both on-premise environments as well as cloud-based platforms, particularly the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Conducting in-depth assessments of management, operations, and technical security controls
Analyzing information and preparing reports to describe vulnerability levels of the network
Documenting and planning to address vulnerabilities and providing continuous monitoring of the security of network systems
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Include: BA/BS degree in IT related field
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the NIST 800-53 Rev 5 controls
Experience using CSAM or other RMF approved system of record
2-4 years of experience AND hold AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
OR 2-4 years of experience AND one of the following: CompTIA Security+ certification Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP or CASP+), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Proof of Certification(s) required
Passing a background check will be required
