Junior Project Manager – Power Generation
HDR invites candidates for a Senior Project Manager role focused on natural gas and renewable energy generation projects, serving as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
Serve as proposal champion/manager, assist with proposal preparation, review contract terms, and evaluate risks.
Provide daily leadership to project team and technical staff.
Maintain regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client.
Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness, and conformance to client expectations.
Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule; develop recovery plans as needed.
Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and consulting issues.
Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise.
Report project progress routinely to accounting and operations teams.
All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
Registered Professional Engineer.
PMP Certification.
Experience managing simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects as owner, owner’s engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated business development skills.
Strong communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
10 years related experience.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

Location Primary: Michigan, Ann Arbor. Optional: Various U.S. locations across the country.
