Senior Project Manager – Power Generation We are seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to serve as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor for natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects within the national Power Generation team.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
Act as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered.
Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff in completion of project activities.
Provide regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client to ensure alignment of project work plan and expectations, monitor deliverables for quality, completeness, and conformance to client expectations.
Proactively monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule; develop appropriate recovery plans in the event of potential shortfalls.
Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes.
Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project management and project consulting issues.
Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise.
Routinely report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations team.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of degree and relevant project experience.
Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
Registered Professional Engineer.
PMP Certification.
Experience designing or managing simple‑cycle and combined‑cycle EPC projects as owner, owner’s engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated business development skills.
Strong communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management tools.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
