Support Connecticut Children’s HR systems and play a key role in the migration of the HR system from ADP Enterprise to Oracle HCM. After the go‑live phase, act as a subject matter expert in Oracle HCM application management covering configuration, table maintenance, and general support for the core HR modules, including ESS and MSS. Resolve issues in coordination with the vendor and partner closely with HRIS, HR, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure the Oracle HCM product meets business requirements and functional needs. Possess working knowledge of core HR processes and how they relate to system configuration.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and proactively address disconnects and opportunities, ensuring operational and functional effectiveness with the Oracle HCM Cloud solution across all stakeholders including IT, HR, Payroll, and end users.
Act as a subject matter expert in Oracle HCM application management for configuration, table maintenance, and general support of core HR modules such as ESS and MSS.
Assist with supporting other HCM modules such as Absence, Benefits, Compensation, and off‑boarding as needed.
Ensure all releases are tested and implemented effectively, mitigating any system downtime and impact to integrations. Work with HR to prioritize new functionality and enhancements aligned with the overall HR strategy.
Identify system design needs and configure enhancements and changes to modules; collaborate with internal clients for current and future module configuration, updates, and new functionality.
Coordinate with Payroll, IT, and vendors to troubleshoot issues with upstream/downstream systems.
Generate ad hoc reports while providing accurate and timely information.
Interpret and document user requirements and process flows to meet system‑related needs. Develop alternative solutions, provide recommendations, and influence decisions.
Interact with end users, internal and external customers to explain, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
Support quarterly release testing events by reviewing documentation, coordinating with the business on new features, and reviewing test scripts.
Participate in projects as the SME for technical requirements related to HR Systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or equivalent is preferred.
Three years of human resources information systems or system administration experience, or similar system experience.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Healthcare or academic experience preferred.
