Pay Range:
$41.20/hr – $67.98/hr (based on skills and experience)
SDG&E is a leading energy company committed to sustainability and innovation in Southern California.
Primary Purpose Under the direction of the company’s Litigation attorney team, carry out investigations, preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation and trial preparation for multiple legal cases, including legal research and writing assignments as required. This position is a limited‑term contract with an initial 1½ year period and optional 1-year extension.
Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct legal research on assigned points of procedural and substantive law.
Prepare preliminary drafts or briefs, arguments, contracts, affidavits, and various legal documents; maintain related document files and legal correspondence.
Conduct studies, interview witnesses, and prepare witnesses to testify.
Represent the Company before courts, commissioners, boards, hearing officers, and public agencies when admitted to the California Bar under the guidance and supervision of an experienced attorney.
Use computerized databases for legal research assignments.
Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of the role).
