Facilities Manager – Valence Surface Technologies Location: Seattle, WA | Type: Full‑Time, Exempt | Reports to: General Manager

Job Overview Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining preventive maintenance programs and ensuring facility safety, equipment functionality, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

Essential Functions

Evaluate, develop, and implement a preventive maintenance plan for the facility.

Manage programs to ensure compliance and improve safety metrics.

Ensure all equipment operates in accordance with safety and operational standards.

Lead and perform equipment related Job Safety Analysis with Operations Manager.

Create and manage budgets/schedules for preventive maintenance and projects.

Identify and implement cost‑saving measures when applicable.

Prepare capital plans and budgets in collaboration with GM.

Supervise the maintenance and facilities groups.

Manage installation of new machines, dismantling/movement of machines, and construction of foundations for machinery.

Use hand tools, dollies, trucks and other equipment as needed.

Manage routine preventive maintenance operations, including repair work.

Handle and dispose of hazardous materials.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, EPD and other regulatory agencies.

Act as site point of contact for all EHS activities.

Perform routine facility inspections and follow up with action items.

Manage preventative actions and post‑accident corrective actions for safety incidents.

Maintain current SDS for all company chemicals.

Develop and maintain procedures for handling materials per environmental policies and regulations.

Maintain building codes, regulations, and general safety and health practices.

Incorporate inventory control for preventive maintenance.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

High school graduate or GED (required).

Four plus years of facility maintenance experience.

Mechanical/electrical background.

Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Strong accountability, accuracy, organization, and communication.

Leadership and project management skills.

Safety awareness and problem‑solving ability.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.

Compensation $80,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
