Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Project Manager
with proven experience leading
COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) product implementations . This role, assigned to the
Project Management Office , will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all phases of large, complex technology projects. The successful candidate will have full end‑to‑end accountability for project delivery, managing cross‑functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve business goals within aggressive timelines.
This role requires a
local Metro Atlanta candidate
with
active PMP certification
and documented success in enterprise‑level technology project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of COTS product implementation projects, following PMI best practices and Georgia Department of Labor Project Management Methodology.
Lead
planning, scheduling, resource management, risk management, quality management, and reporting
activities.
Serve as the
primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and vendor partners .
Facilitate requirements gathering, business process documentation, and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
Oversee
full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
including testing and deployment phases.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Develop and maintain clear communication channels across project teams and leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – Active and in good standing .
Proven success managing
large, complex IT projects
with enterprise-wide impact.
Experience with
COTS product implementation
(software application development and deployment).
Demonstrated leadership of
at least two full lifecycle Agile software development projects
(initiation → deployment → warranty), with project teams of 10+ members.
Hands‑on experience in:
Business requirements gathering
Business process documentation
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Testing methodologies
Experience collaborating with
vendor partners
to deliver enterprise IT solutions.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written, listening).
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Advanced proficiency in
MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, and MS Office Suite .
Preferred Candidate Profile
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Strong motivator with proven ability to lead diverse technical and business teams.
Experienced in managing aggressive project timelines and high‑visibility initiatives.
