In this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for monitoring systems during nightly bank processing, with occasional opportunities to engage in light programming and collaborate with our install and support teams. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for banks newly onboarded to the Jack Henry CPS system during after‑hours operations. Additionally, there may be opportunities to temporarily transition to a hybrid schedule—working one day shift and four night shifts—to support your training and development. The salary range for this position is $55,400‑$71,350 and will be determined based on location and experience level.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and resolve issues.
Participate in assignments and design/develop programming requirements and software specifications.
Participate in programming and testing all or selected components of complex applications. Participate in analyzing and resolving test result problems and debug production issues.
Participate in creating programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve skills and enhance software development processes.
Adhere to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to software development, security, and compliance.
May collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
Minimum of 18 months of hands‑on technical or programming experience acquired through professional roles or academic coursework.
Must be available to work second shift hours—4:00 PM to 1:00 AM Central Time, with a one‑hour meal break.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning with a commitment to investing time and effort into personal and professional development.
What would be nice for you to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or other technical degree.
Prior experience in FinTech, Banking or working with EFT systems.
Familiarity with RPG programming in any version is highly valuable.
Ability for shift flexibility for potential learning opportunities.
