Director, National Accounts
BioSpace (Tris Pharma, Inc.)— a leading privately‑owned U.S. biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative medicines for ADHD, spectrum disorders, anxiety, pain and addiction— is hiring a Director, National Accounts. This is a field‑based role (50‑60% travel) requiring residency within the designated territory and close proximity to a major airport.

Responsibilities & Experiences
Negotiate coverage (reimbursement) for designated products in assigned account areas through contracting and non‑contracting opportunities.
Assess and diagnose the current business environment in each key account to gain formulary access with minimal restrictions.
Manage relationships with Pharmacy Benefit Managers, National/Regional Health Plans, State Medicaid, Medicaid PBMs (e.g., Change Healthcare, Magellan).
Leverage relationships with assigned national and regional payer customers to facilitate account management by assessing contracting options, coordinating selling activities, and ensuring customer needs are met.
Maximize sales through access with each customer and optimize access for field sales team via effective leadership.
Develop and implement partnerships with Sales and Senior Management leaders to build a comprehensive business plan that maximizes access opportunities.
Manage resources to execute responsibilities with account and field sales pull/push.
Establish and strengthen business partnerships with external stakeholders beyond contracting trade relations group.
Implement approved plans and monitor execution against targets and regional sales projects.
Develop and conduct business reviews of key accounts and marketplace with Regional Sales Managers and Commercial leadership.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert (SME) and resource, collaborating closely with commercial leadership, RSMs and Sales Representatives for accounts within the selling geography.
Mentor Sales Representatives on managed care selling to drive formulary pull‑through.
Participate in key conventions such as AMCP, NAMCP, PCMA, Asembia.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years of national accounts, sales, payer marketing and/or managed markets experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry in positions of increasing technical and strategic responsibility, OR a combination of education and 10 years relevant experience.
Strong understanding of the U.S. payer environment, market dynamics, and market access decision‑making processes.
Proven track record of building strong relationships with key decision‑makers.
High ethical values and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Ability to work closely with field sales organization on account pull‑through and local training.
Business acumen and skill to access, analyze, and present claims data.
Successful national account management within target accounts.
Experience successfully contracting and negotiating with MCOs, PBMs, State Medicaid PBMs, IDNs, and Health Systems.
Compensation & Benefits Anticipated salary range: $220,000 to $245,000 per year. Base salary contingent on assessment of education, experience, and industry standards. Additional benefits include: bonus eligibility, medical, dental, vision, Rx insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, paid company holidays, PTO, paid volunteer time.
